1) Rome 

The capital, of course. Rome is a must-see in Italy, one of Europe’s most vibrant cities, full of ancient monuments and home of some of the most known landmarks in the world. The famous Colosseum, the Pantheon, the Sistine Chapel, the Vatican, the Trevi Fountain, the Appian Way… there is just so much to see in this city!

Also known as the “Eternal City”, Rome’s history spans 28 centuries. Every corner of the city is populated by historic treasures, and you will feel like if you’re walking in an open-sky museum. 3) Naples, Amalfi Coast and Capri

Known worldwide for its typical delicious food (like pizza!), Naples also has the largest historic centre in Europe. So be sure you will not run out of things to do! From the many castles to the stunning seaside and the numerous museum, you can’t miss a visit to the “city of the sun” (and I’m not saying this only because it’s my birthplace!).

6) Cinque Terre

I couldn’t help but mention the Cinque Terre in this guide. The spectacular shots of this place are among the most famous pictures of Italy. The 5 towns are connected by a trail along the cliffs; if you like hiking, you will absolutely love this place!
