1) Use stand alone plants

Stand alone plants (and, in particular, floor plants) are by far my favourites. They are perfect to fill up empty corners in your home, add a bit of freshness to the ambient and, of course, they are so beautiful!

The most used are cacti and succulents, big, low mainenance, and perfect to enhance your space. Put them into a nice, big raised vase and you’re done!

2) Have fun with vines!

Create shapes, wrap them around objects, surround windows, let them “fall” from decor pieces… The possibilities are endless!

Some people cover the entire wall with it, creating a real piece of wall decor. Just remember to use glycerin to preserve the foliage.

Vines are low-maintenance and they don’t take up any floor space!

3) Upgrade your shelves

The so-called “plant shelfies”, if we want to use the instagrammable term. These are perfect for creating a relaxing space. Just fill your bookcase with plants and vines, use various sizes of pots, and be creative!

In my opinion, one can never have too many plants in the house.

4) Hang them!

Hanging plants is a great way of decorating every corner of your home without taking up too much space.

Again, be creative with it! There are so many ways to add hanging plants to your room. You could hang them directly from a curtain rod or a towel bar, or use individual pot holders to hang plants on an otherwise unused wall. You can also buy wooden hooks for hanging plants wherever you want; these won’t take up too much space and still add some green to the room!

5) Use air plants

Air plants are very interesting and popular, as they don’t require pot and soil, and can be very decorating. These are perfect in places where there isn’t enough space to display big plants.

Have fun with plant holders and, as always, be creative!
