Alright, pizza lovers, if you’re on a quest to find the most epic Neapolitan pizza in Naples and the Campania region, you’ve landed in the right spot. As some of you already know, I’m a Naples local AND a pizza enthusiast, of course.
This area is not only the birthplace of pizza but also home to some of the world’s finest pizzerias. To help you make the most of your pizza pilgrimage, keep reading to discover the 10 pizzerias you absolutely must try:
1. Pepe In Grani
Where: Strada Statale Domitiana, 18, Caiazzo, CE
By far the best pizza I’ve ever had.
Pepe in Grani is like a pizza lover’s paradise. The place is run by the pizza maestro himself, Franco Pepe. People can’t stop talking about it because they use the best ingredients and stick to the good old ways of making pizza. Every pizza that comes out of their wood-fired oven is like a piece of culinary art. And, the place itself is stunning.
If you want to know more about Franco’s techniques, watch the Netflix documentary “Chef’s Table – Pizza“. The 4th episode is entirely dedicated to Pepe in Grani.
They only accept bookings, so make sure to reserve your place in advance (I highly recommend booking a spot on their beautiful terrace!).
2. Da Pellone

Pellone is a historic gem that’s been feeding Naples for generations. As a local, I can vouch for their classic Margherita, which embodies the essence of traditional Naples pizza. The friendly atmosphere and charming setting make it a delightful spot for both locals and visitors.
And, while you wait for a seat in the busy pizzeria, make sure to taste their fried Crocchè and Frittatine!
